Export prices decreased despite a tight supply in the US. Producers had to cut prices not necessarily from weak fundamentals but their export market in South America was slowly being taken over by European, Asia and Middle East origin low density. There were producer to trader deals talked at 65-67 cents/lb FAS Houston, but there were also small volume deals talked close to 70 cents/lb in railcars, or 72.5 cents/lb bagged.
