GPPS: CFR China and Southeast Asian prices reversed losses last week to gain 0.2% or $2.50/mt, due to last ditch restocking ahead of the Mid-Autumn Festival and Golden Week holidays. South Korea’s Kumho reported selling a 200 mt lot-size cargo to a CD-ROM producer Monday at its offer price of $1,250/mt CFR China. Platts did not fully factor this into the assessment, as the buyer was unnamed. Kumho’s offer was seen as most competitive, as other Asian-origin cargoes were offered up $20-30/mt on the week to reflect dearer main feedstock styrene monomer prices.
