Converters said they had begun to close contracts at plus Eur60/mt, adding they would resist attempts by producers to a secure margin gain this month, accepting the feedstock increase only. Their comments come as some producers held firm at offers of Eur80/mt for March contracts. Contract prices were up Eur60/mt on the month, with C4 and C6 closing at Eur1,455-1,460/mt and Eur1,525/mt FD NWE respectively, stable on the week. In the spot market, offers from Asia subsided as local demand had picked up there, sources said.
