Polyvinyl chloride producers said they were optimistic about pushing through a price increase in January after losing margin in November and December. While buyers said they were bidding for a Eur20-30/mt increase in January term business, sellers had set out their stalls to recoup cost increases from November onwards. "Ethylene has gone up Eur160/mt in the last three months. We have to push or our margins will go into the red," one producer said.
