Prices in Northeast Asia were unchanged Friday but delays in shipments to Southeast Asia caused prices in the region to spike by $80/mt week on week. On Thursday, a trader sold two 1,500 mt parcels at $2,600/mt CFR, one each to South Korea and China, loading at a prompt H2 March laycan. The trader said the higher price was a result of high domestic prices in China and expected tight butadiene supply due to turnarounds. In China, local ex-works prices hovered at about Yuan 19,500-20,000/mt, or $2,483-$2,547/mt on an import parity basis, against Yuan 18,500/mt on Friday last week.
