Spot prices moved down $25/mt week-on-week as Asianvalues fell and offers in the US also declined. It was a quietweek on the European PX spot market, with a holiday in theUK Monday and several European countries on holidayThursday and Friday. An initial NWE June PX settlement wasagreed late Wednesday at Eur1,110/mt ($1,596/mt), downEur40/mt from the May price. However, with so manymarket sources on vacation, a second settlement could not beconfirmed by press time Friday. One source said he thoughtthe holiday schedule was delaying the contract settlement.
