US polypropylene sources were projecting a reduction of 1-4 cents/lb or more on July contracts, as the delta between polymer grade and refinery grade was expected to narrow. Since February, the RGP to PGP spread was around 15-23 cents/lb, but the market was expected to move to a delta of 8-10 cents/lb. In June, polymer grade propylene contracts settled at 55.50 cents/lb, which was an 8 cent drop from May. On Wednesday, spot refinery grade propylene trades were heard done at 39 cents/lb and 39.50 cents/lb, both for June.
