PX rose $15/mt on the week following a bullish Asia market higher. There were no offers heard this week that would have been close to attracting a buyer. Bids were talked at around $925/mt FOB, which was the same as week. US producers, however, were simply not interested in producing spot cargoes. One producer commented that contract demand was strong enough and he had no interest in what would be a lower priced spot market. The August contract was settled at 46.5 cents/lb, $1,025/mt before discounts.
