Northwest European spot acrylonitrile was assessed up again Tuesday at $1,890-1,900/mt CIF Med, as production outages continued to cause problems for consumers. Global spot values soared to levels not seen since the pre-credit crunch era, sources said. “The last time we saw prices this high was before the crash, we sold in November 2008 around $1,900/mt level CIF Med, before the price dropped,” one European trader said.
