Supplies in the US ACN market remained tight this week, sources said, as fiber demand remained stronger than 2009 levels. The price was talked in a wide range, though, with a deal heard done at $2,340/mt along the US Gulf. However, the price did not reflect a repeatable level, as bids jumped to $2,380/mt after the trade. There also were discounts in the $2,340/mt deal, which pushed the price lower. “$2,400 seems to be the market,” a source said this week. The price was assessed at that level, flat to last week.
