YARN: High density polyethylene yarn dipped $10/mt, or less than 1%, on the week to end at $1,215/mt CFR Far East Asia, while it remained unchanged at $1,235/mt CFR Southeast Asia. The dip was on the back of softer demand now for the material. An Indian producer was heard offering at $1,250/mt CFR China without getting much interest, while a Thai producer managed to sell at $1,215/mt CFR China at the end of last week. China’s Sinopec offered ex-works yarn-grade at Yuan 10,700/mt ($1,571/mt). In Southeast Asia, prices remain stable as a Thai producer offered to the region at $1,240/mt CFR basis. BLMG/INJ: Both blow molding and injection grades tracked film-grade HDPE closely this week. In Far East Asia, injection grade was up $25/mt, or 2.2%, week on week to end at $1,155/mt CFR basis, while the blow molding grade was up $20/mt, or 1.8%, week on week to end at $1,155/mt CFR basis.
