EDC: The Asian ethylene dichloride market firmed $10- 18/mt on week Thursday, as the market continued to be driven by tight supplies. EDC supplies from regional producers are tight. Taiwan’s Formosa currently shut its 1.1 million mt/year EDC plant for a turnaround. The plant is scheduled to be restarted late September. Offer levels were reported at $490/mt FOB Taiwan, or over $500/mt CFR FEA/SEA.
