Ecuador's new oil minister wants to cancel auction

Quito-Ecuador should cancel the planned auction of production rights to four state-run oil fields,the country's new Energy Minister Eduardo Lopez said at a press conference Apr 14. "In my opinion,we definitely have to stop this process," he said.Lopez emphasized that the Special Auction Committee (GEL),over which he presides,will make the final decision on whether to postpone the auction.
