Chesapeake Energy said Apr 12 it will pay a total 686-mil in four separate deals for 61,000 Mcfe/d of production.The deals add 289 Bcfe of proved reserves (89% natural gas) and 277 Bcfe of probables and possibles.The company said it will fund the deals with private placements of senior notes and 400-mil of preferred stock.
