South Korea plans 8.6-mil bbl add to crude stockpile

South Korea is looking to add 8.6-mil bbl of crude to the country's strategic stockpile by end-2005 in a bid to prop up falling reserves,an energy ministry official said Mar 31.As of end-2004,the country had total crude stocks of 148-mil bbl,74-mil bbl was strategic stocks held by the government and 74-mil bbl by the private sector,down from end-2003 level of 153-mil bbl.
