Water shortage forces India refiner to slash throughput

A water shortage has forced India's Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd to bring down one of its two refinery units at its 12-mil mt/yr Mangalore refinery,on the west coast of India.Operation has come to "a virtual halt" at the 3.69-mil mt/yr refining unit,a senior official at its parent company Oil and Natural Gas Corp said late last week.
