US Gulf Independence gas hub could grow

Big independent Anadarko Petroleum said Oct 28 recent natural gas discoveries in the eastern Gulf of Mexico could result in a capacity expansion of the developing Independence Hub,which will produce several remote eastern Gulf finds."With some additional discoveries made out there and additional technical work we've done on the deliverability of our existing discoveries,we're looking at expanding the hub's throughput capacity from 850,000 Mcf/d to 1 Bcf/d," Anadarko operating vice president Mark Pease said during a conference call.
