Mexico's Pemex sees big 3Q loss despite high prices

Mexico City- Pemex reported a us900-mil third-quarter loss compared with a us540-mil net profit a year earlier as higher oil prices failed to offset storm-related shut-ins and the usual government tax and royalties bill.Sales,however,rose by 18% year-on-year to us22.4-bil,the state company said in a late Oct 28 filing to the Mexico Stock Exchange.
