Mass resignations in Alaska over proposed terms for North Slope gas line

Alaska Commissioner of Natural Resources Tom Irwin and six senior officials in the state Department of Natural Resources have resigned over differences with Gov.Frank Murkowski on natural gas pipeline negotiations.The resignations,announced by Murkowski late Oct 27,point to deep divisions within the administration over negotiating an agreement with North Slope producers BP,Cono-coPhillips and ExxonMobil on the US20-bil pipeline project.
