Washington-Samuel Bodman,President George W.Bush's nominee to be the next US energy secretary,said Jan 19 he was eager to begin working to pass comprehensive energy legislation that would help tackle the country's varied "energy challenges," including "high prices for gasoline,heating oil and natural gas,[and] power blackouts and shortages [of gas and electricity] in some regions."
