New York-October was milder than a year ago in Europe,Canada and Japan than a year ago,according to data obtained from Accu-Weather Inc and gathered by Platts.A total of 19 cities geographically representative of Europe had 17.1% fewer heating degree days in days October than in October 2004.The total for the September-October period was 15.5% fewer degree days than the similar period last year and 31.3% fewer than normal.
