Port compliance gains as saftey deadline arrives

On the eve of enactment of the International Ship and Port Facility Shipping (ISPS) Code,industry data suggests slightly over one-half of the ports worldwide will have achieved full compliance,and many more are well on the way to doing,so International Maritime Organization secretary-general Efthimios Mitropoulos said June 30.
