Shell returns US Mars platform to service,with full output soon

Shell Exploration & Production said it resumed production June 28 from its Mars tension leg platform in the Gulf of Mexico after completing repairs that kept the facility closed since late May.Output from the platform,in Mississippi Canyon 807,should return to its preshut-in rate of 150,000 b/d of oil and 170,000 Mcf/d of gas "within two or three days",Shell said in a statement.
