Houston-A federal judge May 6 blasted prosecutors for dropping six felony charges against former Enron assistant treasurer Lea Fastow and replacing them with a single misdemeanor charge of filing a false tax return.US District Judge David Hittner called the maneuver "a blatant manipulation of the federal judicial system" after he sentenced Fastow,the wife of former Enron CFO Andrew Fastow,to 12 months in federal prison,the maximum time she could serve.
