Gas-starved Argentina in deal to swap food for Venezuelan oil products

As Argentina strains to manage energy shortfalls that threaten to spin out of control,the government late Mar 29 signed a deal with Venezuela for supplies of gasoil and fuel oil in exchange for food,a spokesperson at Argentina's Planning Ministry,which oversees energy affairs,confirmed Mar 30.Planning Minister Julio De Vido reached the agreement after three days of talks with Ali Rodriguez,president of Venezuelan state oil company PDVSA.
