Southern Union maps second expansion at Trunkline LNG facility

Trunkline LNG plans to expand the send-out capacity at its Lake Charles,Louisiana,LNG terminal to 1.8 Bcf/d by mid-2006,parent Southern Union said Feb 2.The terminal would have a peak send-out capacity of 2.1 Bcf/d,making it the largest of the four operable LNG import facilities in the US.Trunkline LNG and Trunkline Gas expect to invest a total of about US 125-mil in the project,according to Southern Union."With this agreement,we will have effectively tripled the size of Trunkline LNG by 2006," said Thomas Karam,president and chief operating officer of Southern Union.
