Houston-Shares of McDermott International rebounded more than 8% Aug 10 as the oil service engineering company reported a profitable second quarter with a more optimistic outlook for its troubled marine construction unit,J.Ray McDermott."The outlook for J.Ray has improved," said analyst Marty Malloy of Hibernia South Coast Capital."They generated better than expected cash flow and worked off much of their troubled projects." Malloy said the unit,which contributed 72% of McDermott's total revenues,appears to be following a more disciplined approach to bidding on projects where it has experience.
