US refiners said finding replacement crude

US refiners are finding replacement oil for stirke-curbed Venezuelan barrels, with Saudi crude playing a key role, according to an analyst report Jan 17. Analyst Fred Leuffer with Bear Stearns said a survey of US refiners who normally process 1.1-mid b/d of Venezuelan crude shows they have managed to replace all but 155,000 b/d. And Saudi Arabia's mysterious cache of crude in the Caribbean is playing a big part in the process.
