Colombia eyes E&P tender in early 2004: Seen as complement to negotiated deals

Colombia is forging plans to hold its first oil and gas licensing round in serveral years, with a tentative date of early 2004, Mines and Energy Minister Luis Mejia said this week. While Colombian energy officials have not pinned down the number of blocks to be offered, Mejia said on the sidelines of the Latin American Energy conference here the acreage would include both offshore and onshore tracts.
