The growth of Europe's biodiesel market will hinge on reform of EU agricultural policy, adoption of penetration targets and further tax breaks by individual EU member states, a fuels conference in Brussels was told May 20. The secretary general of the European Biodiesel Board, Raffeallo Garofalo, speaking at the Hart World Fuels Conference, said biofuel producers await the outcome of EU plans to directly incentivize biofuel production before plotting future output targets.
