Petroplus slashes runs at European refineries Poor margins tempt others to follow

Pressured by poor margins, independent Euroepan refiner Petroplus has dramatically cut crude runs at its two European refineries during February and has no plans to step up rates for March, a Petroplus trading source said Thursday. Other European refiners are afcing potential cuts as well, as the failure of refined product prices to keep pace with crude is expected to continue into March.
