Europe: LSFO barges hit record premium to cargoes

The spread between low sulfur fuel oil barges and cargoes in the Northwest European trading hub of Amsterdam-Antwerp-Antwerp rallied to historically high levels Friday, market sources said. In the thinly traded barge market, three deals were reported, one at US180/mtFOB Rotterdam and two at US175/mtFOB Antwerp, all well above the Platts mean assessment for FOB LSFO cargoes of US151/mt for Thursday.
