Nyrstar zinc output up 2% in 2015; 2016 output seen lower

Nyrstar’s metals processing operationsproduced 1.115 million mt of zinc metalin 2015, up 2% from output of 1.097 millionmt in 2014, the Belgium-based company said February 4.“The increase in zinc production yearover year was driven by fewer plannedmaintenance shuts during 2015 andimproved availability and utilisation of theroasting, leaching and cell houseprocesses,” Nyrstar said in a statement.
