Australia’s Newcrest Mining’sconsolidated gold output in the July-Septemberquarter was 615,498 oz, up 2.9% from theprevious quarter and 5.4% year on year, thecompany said on October 27.The gold producer attributed the rise tothe ramp-up of Cadia East project inAustralia and Gosowong mine in Indonesia.Output from the Lihir project in Papua NewGuinea, however, fell due to lower grade anda planned shutdown in July.
