Sweden’s Boliden zinc smelter output dips in Q3, mine output up

Boliden produced 115,145 mt ofzinc from its smelting operations in the thirdquarter, down 5% from output of 121,203 mtin Q3 last year, the Swedish metals producersaid on October 20.Zinc production at the company’sKokkola smelter in Finland was negativelyaffected by low recovery levels, “but theselevels are expected to improve as a result ofongoing maintenance and upgrades tocertain pieces of equipment in the cell housein the coming quarters,” Boliden said.
