EIA reports sixth triple-digit build; analysts still wary of refill pace

US gas storage inventories rose by 113 Bcf to 1.719 Tcf for the week ending June 13, coming in above most forecasts and setting a record as the sixth straight triple-digit build to be reported by the Energy Information Administration. The net injection reported Thursday was above consensus expectations between 107 Bcf and 111 Bcf. It was also well above the 92 Bcf injection reported last year as well as the five- year average build of 87 Bcf.
