Increased pipeline nomination cycles one solution in boosting reliability

A host of natural gas pipelines have enhanced their scheduling options as a way to improve coordination with electric customers, but early results have shown it is only one in a swath of solutions that can help to enhance reliability, industry executives said. In the past several months, Florida Gas Transmission, Trailblazer Pipeline and Gulf South Pipeline have sought regulatory approval to increase the number of nomination cycles they offer their customers in an effort to improve reliability. Other pipelines like Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line, Algonquin Gas Transmission, Maritimes & Northeast, Texas Gas Transmission, Southern California Gas and others added similar services years ago.
