The Platts daily Australian aluminaassessment rose 50 cents to $229.50/mtFOB on September 7 to net a $1/mt gain overthe past two days, as the market was underpinnedby firmer markets in China.The Australian market was supported byfresh increases in China’s domestic aluminaprices and smelting growth rates.
