Chile’s Antofagasta moly production to fall in 2016

Antofagasta expects to produce8,000-9,000 mt of molybdenum in 2016,down from 10,100 mt produced in 2015, theUK-based Chilean miner said on January 27.Molybdenum output from the company’s Los Pelambres mine was up 28% last yearfrom 7,900 mt in 2014, reaching its highestlevel of output since 2012 as a new, highergradephase of the pit was mined.
