Majors scale back gas, liquids output; independents continue to raise wolumes

Integrated oil and gas companies have seen both their natural gas and liquids production decline, yet leading independent producers have continued to increase supply, according to third-quarter earnings reports, Oppenheimer & Co. analysts noted recently.
