NiSource proposes gathering system for dry, liquids-rich Utica Shale gas

NiSource Gas Transmission and Storage on Wednesday proposed to build a roughly 90-mile gathering system in Ohio for dry and liquids-rich natural gas to serve production in the state's Utica Shale. The company also said it bought a 200,000 Mcf/d gas processing plant in Harrison County in eastern Ohio. No financial details were provided. The large-diameter gathering system will use Columbia Gas Transmission's existing right-of-way along its north- and south-running V-100 and V-138 systems. NiSource also will build a dry gas line from the processing plant.
