Densities and speeds of sound of the ternary mixture 2-butanol plus 1-chlorobutane plus tetrahydrofuran

Experimental densities (p) and speeds of sound (u) were obtained for the ternary system (2-butanol + 1-chloro-butane + tetrahydrofuran) at three temperatures: 283.15, 298.15 and 313.15 K. Excess molar volumes (V~E) and isentropic compressibility deviations (Δk_S) have been calculated from experimental data. A discussion of the thermodynamic behavior of the ternary system in terms of molecular interactions and structural and packing effects is presented.
