Sirkar Receives Honors From AAAS and AIChE's Separations Division

Kamalesh Sirkar,distinguished professor of chemical engineering at New Jersey Institute of Technology(NJIT),has been named a Fellow by the American Association for the Advancement of Science(AAAS).He also received the Clarence G.Gerhold Award from AIChE's Sepations Division at the Institute's November 2008 Annual Meeting in Philadelphia,PA.The Gerhold Award recognized Sirkar's extensive contributions to chemical separations technology.At the Annual Meeting,two special sessions provided opportunities for Sirkar's colleagues to present lectures about their own work,which Sirkar had influenced.
