Impedance technique for modeling electromagnetic wave propagation in anisotropic and gyrotropic media

A convenient and physically unambiguous interpreta-tion of the invariant embedding technique is discussed in appli-cation to problems of electromagnetic wave propagation in complex media characterized by anisotropic and gyrotropic dielectric or magnetic response.
