What has been the experience with using trays,random and structured packing for absorbing acid gas into alkaline solutions? We recently replaced our trays with random packing in an amine absorber and our acid-gas slip had worsened.We received different recommendations from different people,including changing packing type and distribution,going back to trays,and going to structured packing.Which recommendation would you favor?
