Silres~R BS 1303 silicone resin emulsion. The new building protection product, which is suitable for formulating coatings with moderately hydrophobic surfaces. In silicone resin plasters, the product also prevents pinholing of the plaster. Silres~R BS 1303 realizes the typical effects of a silicone resin, such as low water absorption and high water-vapor permeability. But, unlike comparable products, it does not show pronounced surface hydro-phobicity. For manufacturers of fagade coatings, this opens up entirely new formulation options for adjusting the surface characteristics of the Srep~R coatings (silicone resin emulsion paints / plasters).
