ABB signs an automation agreement for one of the largest chemical group in the world

The automation system will increase the worldng efficiency of two distribution sites at the Sadara chemicai industry. ABB, a leading group for energy technologies and automation, has been selected by Foster Wheeler for a project concerning the automation of raw material handling system for the chemical group of Sadara Chemical (Sadara), which is currently under construction at Jubail Industrial City II, Saudi Arabia. The provision was recorded in the first quarter of 2013 and as from this contract, ABB is going to design and construct the automation system of the storage tanks and part of the packaging centre including the transportation of raw materials and finished products from and to the plant and the manufacturing unit through pipes, trucks or trains. The T-MAC Plus system by ABB will be used to optimize the working efficiency and to increase the energy efficiency safety and control by a graded solution, which is compatible with the handling systems of most modern industries.
