HazCom is a program that requires all mine operators to survey their mines and identify all hazardous chemicals on the property. The program further requires mine operators to inform miners regarding the hazards. HazCom does not set any exposure limits. Operators must, of course, comply with limits that already exist by reason of other MSHA regulations such as MSHAs regulation on "Exposure Limits for Airborne Contaminants".
