The National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA) points out that MSHA Part 46 miner refresher training is required for each employee on an annual basis. To make that task easier for producers in their compliance efforts, NSSGA, in conjunction with Weir International Mining Consultants and the Online Safety Academy, is offering an eight-hour refresher training course via the Internet.The course is MSHA approved, provides instruction in key areas, allows the employee to train and test in small or large blocks of time, and provides the employer with a record of the individual's scores and completion data.
