The economy continues to grow. It's not growing fast enough for one crowd, but it's growing about as well as can be expected according to others. I think of the economy as a car sputtering along, making progress but not operating quite right. It is not the engine (our capitalist system) that is off; nor is it the driver (workers). To me, it is bad gasoline (rules and policies) that is holding back the engine.
